Sony allows DualSense with Apple devices

Sony has announced that the new PS5 DualShock joystick is supported across every Apple platform running the latest operating systems after upgrading to the latest version of the PS Remote Play app for iOS.

This includes iPhones, iPads, iPod touches, and Apple TV 14.5, as well as Macs running macOS Big Sur 11.3.

Move your PS5 or PS4 to another room in your home, stream your games via your Mac or Windows, Android or iOS device, or even an older PS4 with Sony's PS Remote Play app.

Until recently, you could only remotely control your PS5 using the old DualShock 4 joystick, but that has now changed.

Although this has changed, if you choose to use the newer joystick, you won't get the full experience of Remote Play.

You can enjoy games with triggers adaptive supposed to be operated via an iOS device, however, the presence of touch can be so random.

Given that tactile feedback can elevate the gameplay experience, the absence of it might make some games less fun than they would be with water.

In addition, the built-in dual sense microphone, headphone port, and speaker do not work in remote play

Every time you want to switch devices, you have to manually pair DualSense again, and the broadcast quality depends heavily on your home wireless network.

You can connect the DualSense joystick to your iPhone or iPad by opening the iOS Settings app and switching to Bluetooth, and then continuously press the share and PS buttons on the DualSense joystick at the same time for at least three seconds until you see the light bar flashing blue.

You should then click under your iPhone or iPad on the PS5 DualSense joystick from the “other devices” option and then click the word pair.

Android users can also use Sony's Remote Play app, but currently, the Android version only supports DualShock 4.
